Bio of the CEO and Artsist: The1andonly Dorell

Before He Was Born, Dorell Was Faced With the Tragedy of the Killing of His Father.

As a result of that Dorell was raised in South Central Los Angeles surrounded by poverty, gangs, drugs, crime and no positive role models in his life which lead him to run away from home at an early age, drop out of school and eventually lead a life of crime that he never wanted or even asked for.

Realizing through God, prayer, patience, hard work and a better education he could have a better life Dorell went back to school and received his GED after which he enrolled into Chapman University studying Business and Literary Arts maintaining a great 4.0 GPA so he may follow and live his dream of being successful in the world of entertainment.

As of May 11, 2018 Dorell was also proud to Graduate with Honors from L.A. Film School with a Degree in Recording Arts.

Dorell Made the Dean’s List Twice and Is Now Giving Back to the Community.

He works with at-risk youth and young adults ages 10 to 22 and their parents getting them back into school, into a better life and helping them stay away from gangs, drugs, teen pregnancy and any criminal involvement through the use of arts and entertainment as well as mentoring and tutoring to help them reach their goal of a higher education.

He created It’s Cool to Be in School and is also the Founder and Director of the 501C3 non-profit organization, Saving All Kids.

Dorell's Previous Accomplishments

Under Dorell's previous acting, comedy, show host and recording name "Mr. Jekel" Dorell has performed and hosted many talent show cases in the greater Los Angeles and Hollywood Area. Dorell made the number 17 in the top 20 music charts of the world known "Street Perspective Magazine" for his single "My Confession" in which Dorell wrote the lyrics, performed the song and proudly co-produced the musical track with Alonzo Scooter Powell whom at the time was the drummer for the music legend Norman Brown.

Dorell worked as an Actor, Comedian, Recording Artist and Promoter on:

• The Dawn Reese Show:  under the name ( Mr. Jekel ) as a co-host , promoter, and performer .
• Feature Film - Return of Dolemite 2001: Lead Role as Dog.
• The Tonight Show/ NBC as: The Ebonic Elvis ( comedy skit ).
• Hosted and performed in hundreds (100’s) of shows at clubs such as: Platinum Live, The Garden of Eden, The Roxberry, Hollywood Park Casino and more.

Dorell also gained worldwide recognition from his Previous CD release "Keep It Pushin" which gained him not only recognition, but sales and a great fan base all over the globe such as: China, Japan, Hong Kong, France, Aruba, Germany, Malasia, Isreal, Saudi Arabia, Dominican Republic, Australia, Brazil, Slovakia, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Chile, The UK, Canada and all across the U.S.

Due to a few years of serious family issues and financial set backs Dorell took time off from the industry only to regroup, redefine, restructure and amazingly redevelop himself. By doing so Dorell found himself more behind the scenes in a corporate type capacity learning and building upon the business aspect of the entertainment industry, however his love for the stage and his creativity still remained strong giving him a far more creative and business edge over others in the industry.

By doing so Dorell created and became CEO of Hollywood Overlooked and Business On The Mic. He also formed and created The Holiness of Hollywood and The Christian Business Entertainment Network.

At this time Dorell is putting together a business networking tour and new talent showcase as he also release his new CD called "Let's Ride" featuring the two (2) hard hitting, comedy Based singles "She Gettin Money" and "My Homie Baby Mama".
